The fireplace scene
Logs burning inside a brick fireplace. Unlike the campfire outdoors, there is no wind and no insects here, only the quiet crackle of the wood. It suits the moments when you want the feeling of a living room with a hearth in the corner.
What makes this scene different
- The flames and sparks stay inside the hearth, and the smoke goes up the chimney, out of sight.
- Firelight spreads softly over the bricks and the wooden floor.
- By default only the fire crackle is on. Wind, crickets and rain are off, and you can add them in Sound and display.
Ways to use it
Put it on the TV. A fireplace belongs on a wall, so it looks most convincing on a wall-mounted TV or one on a low cabinet. See Watching on a TV or projector for how to connect.
A rainy evening indoors. Raise the rain to about 30 in Sound and display and it feels like warming yourself by the fire while it pours outside.
While reading. Lower the flame size to around 70 and dim the screen. The fire draws less attention and makes a good companion for a book.
How to use it
Press Light the fire to start with sound. The buttons at the bottom let you change the scene and adjust the sound levels, the flame size, the brightness and the sleep timer. Your adjustments are saved for this scene only. See the guide and the FAQ for more.
