The campfire scene
A fire of stacked logs in a meadow, under a sky full of stars. A light wind, crickets in the distance: the most basic picture of a campsite on a summer night.
What makes this scene different
- The flames rise in three swaying tongues, and sparks drift up into the night sky.
- The firelight flickers over the grass and the logs around it.
- The default sound is fire crackle with a little wind and crickets.
- Click or tap the fire to stir the logs and send up a burst of sparks.
Ways to use it
For a short break. When you need ten minutes away from work, put it on fullscreen. Set the sleep timer and the fire going out tells you the break is over.
For a campsite mood at home. Turn off the lights and put the screen somewhere low; it is far more convincing. The details are in How to enjoy a campfire at home.
Change the sound around it. Turn the crickets off and the wind up for a late-autumn night, or add rain for a campfire on a wet day. See Sound mixes for every mood.
How to use it
Press Light the fire to start with sound. The buttons at the bottom let you change the scene and adjust the sound levels, the flame size, the brightness and the sleep timer. Your adjustments are saved for this scene only. See the guide and the FAQ for more.
