The snowy night scene
A view you only get when camping in winter: a fire built on a white field, with snowflakes settling slowly around it. Everything else is cold and blue, so the orange of the fire feels warmer here than in any other scene.
What makes this scene different
- Snowflakes drift down slowly, swaying from side to side.
- The ground is pale blue with snow, and a few stars show in the sky.
- The default sound is fire crackle and wind. As on a real winter night, crickets are off.
Ways to use it
Set the cold with the wind. Raise the wind above 60 for a bitter, blowing night, or drop it to about 15 for a still one where the snow falls without a sound. Snow really does hush its surroundings, so turning the wind almost off and leaving only the crackle works well too.
For the holidays. On a living-room TV in winter it works like a seasonal decoration. If you leave it on for hours, set the sleep timer.
In the heat of summer. Air conditioning on, snow on the screen. It is better than you would expect.
How to use it
Press Light the fire to start with sound. The buttons at the bottom let you change the scene and adjust the sound levels, the flame size, the brightness and the sleep timer. Your adjustments are saved for this scene only. See the guide and the FAQ for more.
